Crew buses are designed for timely transport of crews (repair / construction / exploration crews, etc.) in a van-body cab to a site; transport can be done both along and off public roads.
Crew-bus van bodies are made in two versions:
1) Frameless design using sandwich panels and an angular profile; shaped as a rectangular prism. Sandwich panels are vacuum-formed, are self-supporting, and have a low thermal conductivity. Inner and outer facing of plated steel sheets. Styrofoam is used for thermal insulation. When assembled, the seams of the van body are sealed by a polyurethane-based sealant.
2) Heat-insulated metal van-body with a welded frame.
